This Blog

Thanks for visiting my blog!  I’m mostly using this blog to chronicle my adventures as a beginning web developer.  I’ve started using this blog for notes as well, so there may be information here that is either incorrect or horribly explained and won’t really help you understand concepts better, if that’s what you’re looking for.  You’ve been warned!

A NYC-transplant living in Boston! After moving to Boston for graduate school, I have decided to stay. My favorite things include food and the internet!

Current

I’m currently learning web development at General Assembly.

History

After working an unsatisfying job at a medical laboratory processing specimens for ~1.5 years, I decided to try for a career change. In high school, I taught myself some HTML and CSS to play around with websites, mostly my blogs at the time. Prior to that, I remember using tools on AOL to build terribly ugly websites about my hobbies. I also remember using Geocities and Angelfire to build simple websites, and I really enjoyed it. It never occurred to me that I could get a career in web development, so in college, I opted for a different career path. After hearing about coding bootcamps, I became interested in taking a step towards a career path that I actually enjoy. Previously, I have worked as a digital production assistant at MTV International and as a Content Manager at a study-abroad start up in Cambridge, MA.
